bootmod3 takesย around 15-30 minutes to activate, unlock, setup, install and adjust on your vehicle. Detailed instructions for the installation process can be foundย here.

CAN I RE-SELL OR TRANSFER MY BM3 LICENSE?

Yes! bootmod3 is the only flash solution where the license can be resold and/or transferred to a new VIN when/if you decide to move on for any reason. Having re-sale value is a great advantage to choosing bootmod3 for your tuning which is NOT available with any other flash tune.

  • License transfer is restricted to the original order purchase and buyer. Transferred licenses cannot be transferred more than once.
  • Any previously purchased OTS maps and custom tunes by the original buyer are not transferrable due to map data incompatibilities between cars.
  • To transfer a license you need to flash the car with theย Stock Tuneย ANDย DME RELOCKEDย using bootmod3 interface. Further information on the transfer process can be foundย here.
FLASHING BACK TO STOCK AND LOCKING THE DME WITH ANY OTHER FLASH TOOLS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. (Must be returned to stock using bootmod3)

MODEย ULTIMATEย OBDย MOBILE DATA & Wi-Fiย AT THE SAME TIME! (excluding Android OS)

To use Mobile Data at the same time as the MODE Ultimate OBD WiFi Flash Adapter (For example while downloading and flashing MODE x bootmod3 bm3 Ultimate Tuning Maps) you will need to adjust the Wi-Fi settings on your phone.

Android OS (all versions) turns off your Internet (mobile data) connection the moment you plug in the ENET cable or connect to the BM3_NET WiFi network. This is unfortunate default Android behavior. iOS keeps the internet just like Windows and macOS and even though all computers should behave this way, Android does not.

  1. Go to Settings โ†’ย Wi-Fi โ†’ย ENET_WIFI โ†’ Configure IP: Change this from Automatic to Manual and enter the following network settings:

    1. IP: 192.168.16.109 (or IP of your exact adapter)
      *Check when plugged in by going to Wi-Fi on your Smartphone*

    2. Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0

    3. Router: <leave empty>
