PROJECT 'RS'
Exploring the Limits of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991)
The 'Project 991 RS' allowed the MODE team to dive deep into the revered Porsche 911 GT3 RS platform, focusing specifically on the 991.1 GT3 & GT3 RS generation from 2013 to 2019. This was a car engineered for the purist: raw, unfiltered, and born to dominate both the track and the road. With the GT3 RS's motorsport roots and the iconic 4.0L NA flat-six engine, our team was eager to explore, refine, and elevate what Porsche had already perfected.
The GT3 RS’s high-revving 500HP engine is mated to the lightning-quick 7-speed PDK transmission, delivering an intensely visceral driving experience. The MODE 'RS' came equipped with the sought-after Clubsport Package, which includes the factory-installed roll cage, fire extinguisher, six-point harness, and battery kill switch — track-ready straight from Stuttgart.
From the moment it arrived, the sheer presence of the GT3 RS was undeniable. Finished in GT Silver Metallic, the widebody carbon-fiber fenders, massive rear wing, center-lock wheels, and front aero vents stood out as both functional and beautiful. Even parked, it looked fast. And with a curb weight of 1,430 kg, this machine promised more than just good looks.
Come along with us as we chronicle this project — not just to modify, but to optimize a legend.
