WHAT IS A BILLET DIFF BRACE?

The S55 powered M3 F80, M4 F82 and M2 F87 including Competition have been know to tear diff mounts in high horsepower, competition and motorsport applications due to drivetrain movement.

The MODE x EEP Billet Diff Brace Kit suit S55 BMW's is a billet CNC machined solution to provide rigidity and strength to the S55 Driveline by bracing and bolstering the OEM differential mounts. 

WHY DO I NEED IT?

As the S55 powered BMW M2C, M3 & M4 continues to both be driven and modified there are more reports of torn diff bushes, this is due to a both a change in the factory design from BMW and inferior diff bushings.

Previous M3 models such as the E92 M3 V8 had twin rear diff bushes whereas the F8X M cars consists of a single, offset rear differential bushing and mount that holds the differential to the rear subframe. The MODE x EEP Diff Brace design will convert your F8X from a single bush to a twin rear bush design using factory allocation within the subframe.

In addition to this, the OEM factory mount on 2014-2017 models is a rubber bushing that contains fluid on the inside. Over time these rubber mounts will begin to crack and once cracking has begun, it can spread throughout the mount and result in more serious problems. This usually occurs between 40,000kms and 100,000kms but in many cases much earlier.

This simple solution by Elite Euro Performance will provide superior traction and reduced maintenance on higher horsepower and modified vehicles.

The MODE x EEP Diff Brace Kit utilises the factory diff bushes to retain stock drivability.

• 4x Fasteners Gr. 12.9

HOW TO SELECT THE CORRECT BUSH:

We suggest having your vehicle inspected prior to determine the state and type of your current diff bush.

If your vehicle is a 2014-2017 model it will most likely have the black and silver bush and already be cracked, if it is not you will be able to add an additional 1x Black/Silver bush for the right hand side allocation.

If your vehicle is a 2018-2021 model it will most likely have the yellow bush and may not be cracked, you will be able to add an additional 1x Yellow bush for the right hand side allocation.

If looking to replace both you will require the 2x Yellow Bushes.

INSTALLATION:

Installation of any diff brace solution is extensive and must be carried out by highly qualified technicians.
